Drapes - Foliodrape®

Asepsis and the Prophylaxis of Infection

Despite all the routine aseptic and antiseptic procedures, postoperative wound infections account for a considerable percentage of hospital acquired (nosocomial) infections.

Protection against infection during invasive surgery is important for the patient. The dissemination of microorganisms is generally avoiodable, but if allowed to occur, can result in dangerous hospital acquired infections.

The aim of all standard protective procedures is to reduce the risk of microbial contamination, thereby avoidng infection.

Using Foliodrape drapes for all surgical procedures can substantially reduce the risk of microbial contamination.
